As part of the college of science and engineering, our group members make use of the University of Edinburgh School of Geosciences scanning electron microscope; a Carl Zeiss SIGMA HD VP Field Emission SEM with Oxford AZtec ED X-ray analysis and Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) systems

The EaStCHEM partnership between the University of Edinburgh and St. Andrews Chemistry Departments allows our members access to a Jeol JEM-2011 Transmission Electron Microscope located at the St. Andrews transmission electron microscopy facility
